When using Shopify, certain operations (such as deletions) may cause some page links to become unavailable or display a 404 error, negatively impacting the customer browsing experience.

To ensure a smooth shopping experience, we can use URL redirection to redirect broken or 404-error links to valid ones. This helps maintain traffic flow and ensures customers can still find the content they need.
Note: URLs with the following prefixes cannot be redirected:
/apps
/application
/cart
/carts
/orders
/shop
/services
Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard.
Go to Online Store > Navigation.
In the top-right corner, click View URL redirects.
Click Create URL redirect.
In the Redirect from field, paste the broken/404 URL.
You can enter either:
The path after the domain (e.g., /collection/shirts)
The full URL (e.g., http://www.example.com/collection/shirts) – Shopify will automatically extract the path.
In the Redirect to field, enter the target URL (the page you want to redirect visitors to).
Click Save redirect.
The redirection is now successfully set up.
Test it by refreshing the original broken link – it should now redirect to the new page.
This method ensures customers are seamlessly directed to the correct page, improving their browsing experience and preventing lost sales due to dead links. 🚀
