When setting up a Shopify store, the platform automatically configures settings based on the country you select, including the default currency—often set to Chinese Yuan (CNY) for users in China.

For example, as shown in the image below, product prices may display in CNY during listing creation and on product pages. However, since you’re targeting customers in other countries, you may want to switch to their local currencies, such as USD, KRW, JPY, etc.
Here’s how to change the currency in your Shopify store:
Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard.
Click “Settings” at the bottom-left corner.
Select “Store details.”
Under “Store currency,” click the current currency (e.g., Chinese yuan – CNY).
Choose your target currency (e.g., US dollars – USD).
Click “Save” to confirm the changes.
Now, when adding new products, prices will be displayed in your selected currency.
Existing product prices will also update to the new currency.

This ensures your store displays prices in the correct currency for your target market.
