Let me make it clear upfront: today’s tutorial on building a corporate website is based on a website-building platform that requires no coding knowledge. The advantage of this approach is its low barrier to entry—all you need is basic literacy. You can freely drag, drop, and arrange elements, and you can essentially mimic almost any competitor’s website. Note that I said “mimic a similar site,” not create an exact replica.
Alright, without further ado, let’s dive into the steps for building a corporate website!
Register an account on the website-building platform. Note: This example uses Zhuge Website Builder (cn), so click “Register” or “Free Trial” and fill in the required details. (Refer to the image.)
Log in to the backend. If you’ve already registered, click “Login.” If not, register first and then log in. Once logged in, you’ll see different sections: Corporate Website, Online Store, Mini Program. Since we’re focusing on building a corporate website, click Corporate Website to enter the site management page.
Here, you’ll see separate sections for Desktop Website and Mobile Website. If you choose a responsive template, only one section will appear. How do you select? You can choose when creating the site, or click Desktop Website, then find Quick Setup on the right side of the management panel to make your selection. (Refer to the image.)
Pro Tip: If clicking doesn’t work, try logging out and back in, clearing your browser cache, or switching browsers.
For this example, we’ll assume separate desktop and mobile sites. Click Desktop Website to enter the design and editing page. On the right, you’ll see various functions and settings. Hover over any section, and an “Edit” option will appear—just click to modify.
Friendly reminder: It might feel unfamiliar at first, but once you explore each page and setting, you’ll quickly get the hang of it. No coding is needed, and there are helpful prompts everywhere. (Refer to the image.)
Domain Binding: If you want to buy a domain, click Purchase Domain. If you already own a domain from another platform, click Bind External Domain and follow the prompts—it’s straightforward, so we won’t demo it here.
Important Note:
For personal websites, no ICP filing is required.
For Chinese businesses, you can choose to file for an ICP license (or not). If you don’t file, your site will use overseas servers but remain accessible. If you do file, you’ll use domestic servers, which are more secure but require compliance with Chinese regulations.
